Description
Key Advantages of the CDS6250C Universal Lathe:
Compact lathes of the CDS-B/C series are capable of performing various turning operations, such as: machining internal and external cylindrical and tapered surfaces, facing, cutting metric, inch, modular, and pitch threads, drilling, reaming, and grooving. CDS series lathes with the "62" index feature a gap in the bed, enabling the machining of larger-diameter or irregularly shaped workpieces.
High-Frequency Hardened Guideways
The bed and saddle guideways undergo high-frequency hardening followed by precision grinding. This ensures enhanced wear resistance of working surfaces and maintains the lathe's geometric accuracy over an extended service life.
Electromagnetic Braking System
The lathe is equipped with a built-in electromagnetic spindle brake. This significantly reduces the time required for the chuck to stop rotating after the motor is switched off, enhancing operator safety and improving productivity during frequent tool changes.
Optimal Machining Class (500 mm)
This model belongs to the lathe class with a 500 mm swing diameter over the bed. It represents a versatile solution capable of machining both medium-sized and relatively large workpieces, occupying an intermediate position between light-duty and heavy-duty lathes.
Enlarged Spindle Bore
The headstock features a through-hole with a diameter of 105 mm (standard for this series), enabling machining of large-cross-section bar workpieces without pre-turning and allowing the use of standard heavy-duty tooling accessories.
Wide Range of Thread Types
The feed gearbox supports cutting of metric, inch, modular, and pitch threads. The kinematic chain design allows quick reconfiguration to the required thread pitch without changing gears in most operating modes.
Reliable Main Drive
The lathe is equipped with a 7.5 kW electric motor, delivering high spindle torque. This enables rough turning of hard materials with heavy stock removal without overloading the power supply.
Centralized Guideway Lubrication System
For convenient maintenance, a centralized lubrication system is provided for the saddle and bed guideways. This simplifies daily maintenance, ensures even oil distribution, and reduces friction in moving components.
