Heavy-Duty Universal Lathe CW6163B with Swing Over Bed of 630 mm
This lathe is designed for high-precision roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations on medium-diameter "shaft-type" workpieces, as well as large-sized components such as covers, flanges, discs, pulleys, and similar parts. It performs turning of internal and external cylindrical surfaces, cutting of internal and external tapers, and threading of metric, inch, modular, and diametral pitch threads. Additionally, the machine can carry out drilling, boring, and grooving operations. Equipped with a high-power motor and a rigid, reinforced bed with stiffening ribs, it is capable of heavy-duty cutting.

This lathe belongs to the heavy-duty universal equipment class with a maximum swing over bed of 630 mm, enabling the mounting and turning of large workpieces such as shafts, discs, and housings.
Extra-Rigid Bed Construction
The machine base is cast from high-strength iron and features a reinforced box-type structure with wide guideways. This design ensures exceptional stability when machining heavy workpieces and effectively dampens vibrations during low-speed operations.
Induction-Hardened Guideways
All working surfaces of the bed, carriage, and tailstock guideways undergo high-frequency induction hardening followed by precision grinding. This guarantees long-term retention of geometric accuracy under intensive heavy-duty operating conditions.
Spindle with Large Through-Hole
The headstock is equipped with an enlarged-diameter through-hole (100 mm), enabling the machining of long bar stock of large cross-sections and the use of heavy-duty boring attachments.
High-Power Main Drive System
The lathe is equipped with a high-output electric motor that delivers substantial torque at the spindle. This allows for deep rough turning of hard forgings and castings with high material removal rates, without overloading the drive mechanism.
Wide Range of Thread-Cutting Capabilities
