Description
Key Features of the HS-280G Benchtop Lathe
1. Expanded Work Envelope with Compact Footprint
The machine delivers a maximum swing over bed of 280 mm and up to 140 mm over the cross slide, while retaining dimensions suitable for placement on a standard workbench. The 500 mm distance between centers extends machining capabilities compared to smaller-class models without increasing the machine's footprint.
2. Mechanical 12-Speed Gearbox
The headstock incorporates a robust gear-driven transmission with 12 fixed speeds selectable via a single lever. The speed range of 80–1600 rpm covers operations from rough turning of hardened steels to fine finishing of non-ferrous alloys and non-metallic materials.
3. Integrated Feed and Threading Box
The mechanical feed gearbox enables cutting of metric, imperial, and module threads without requiring additional change gears. Longitudinal and cross feeds are adjustable across a wide range to accommodate both roughing and finishing operations.
4. Comprehensive Machining Versatility
Designed for a full range of turning operations: machining cylindrical and conical surfaces, facing, drilling axial holes, boring, cutting external and internal threads, as well as chamfering and grooving with specialized tooling.
