CW-E Series horizontal lathes are capable of various turning applications,mainly used for I.D. and O.D.cylindrical face, taper surface and other parts that features rotating surface. This machine is perfectly suitable for small volume production plant and machinery maintenance shops and can machine a range of materials, including steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. Lathe is suited for face turning, grooving, parting, drilling and other popular threads as metric, inch, module and diametral pitch threads.
Machining of Parts Up to 800 mm in Diameter
This lathe belongs to the heavy-duty universal equipment class with a swing diameter of 800 mm over the bed. This enables installation and turning of large-scale workpieces (shafts, discs, housings).
Extra-Strong Bed
The lathe base is made of high-strength cast iron with a reinforced box-type construction and wide guideways. This architecture ensures exceptional stability when working with heavy parts and effectively dampens vibrations at low spindle speeds.
Induction-Hardened Guideways
All working surfaces of the bed, saddle, and tailstock guideways undergo high-frequency induction hardening followed by precision grinding. This guarantees retention of the lathe's geometric accuracy under intensive operation with heavy cutting conditions.
Spindle with Through-Hole
The headstock features an enlarged through-hole, which is standard for this class. This enables machining of long bar workpieces with large cross-sections and allows the use of heavy-duty boring tooling.
