Description
A-4 CNC Horizontal Boring and Milling Machine
A powerful CNC horizontal boring and milling machine designed for heavy-duty and high-precision machining of large housing parts. The A-4 model, equipped with a fixed facing head, represents the pinnacle of the series in terms of work envelope and is intended for performing the most complex boring, milling, drilling, and tapping operations in single-piece and small-batch production environments.
Key Advantages:
Maximum Working Area — the machine boasts the largest travels in the A series: table cross travel (X) is 1800 mm, spindle head vertical travel (Y) is 1400 mm, and table longitudinal travel (Z) is 1400 mm, enabling the machining of significantly large components.
Powerful Spindle Unit — the 110 mm diameter spindle features stepless speed regulation in the range of 10–1100 rpm and an accurate stop function, providing the necessary torque and optimal cutting conditions for heavy-duty operations.
Fixed Facing Head Included — the machine is equipped with a 650 mm diameter facing head with a speed range of 7–165 rpm. This is a key advantage for machining large parts requiring exceptional rigidity and accuracy in boring operations.
Closed-Loop Precision Axes — the X, Y, and Z axes are equipped with Spanish FAGOR linear scales, forming a closed-loop control system. This guarantees the highest stability and reliability of positioning accuracy when machining critical components.
Powerful Independent Drives — each feed axis is driven by an independent AC servo motor directly connected to high-precision ball screws, ensuring high dynamics and positioning accuracy even when working with large workpieces.
Advanced CNC System — the machine is equipped with an imported CNC system capable of simultaneous 4-axis control, enabling complex multi-coordinate operations, including machining of inclined surfaces and complex contours.
High-Quality Base Components — the machine's large-scale components (bed, column, table) are designed according to best global practices for premium-class machine tools, possessing a high rigidity margin and potential for future upgrades, guaranteeing long-term geometric stability.
Application Area:
Designed for high-precision and heavy-duty machining of large housing parts in industries with the highest demands for accuracy and productivity: oil and gas engineering (valve bodies, wellhead equipment), chemical and power engineering, and heavy machinery. The presence of the facing head makes it indispensable for boring large-diameter deep holes, machining flanges, surfaces, and complex contours on exceptionally large components.
